Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about bidding and buying with Public Auctions of Texas.

How do I participate in an auction?

To participate, you must create a free account on our website and register for the specific auction event you are interested in. Once your registration is approved, you can place bids on any available lots.

What is a 'Buyer's Premium'?

A buyer's premium is a standard service fee added to the final hammer price of an item. This percentage helps cover the costs of the auction platform and administration. Please check the specific auction terms for the current premium rate.

Can I inspect items before bidding?

Yes, we highly recommend on-site inspection. We host scheduled preview days for most auctions at our Texas facilities. Please refer to the auction details page for specific dates and times.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express), wire transfers, and certified checks. Please note that some high-value items may require payment via wire transfer only.

Do you offer shipping for won items?

While many items are 'local pickup only' due to size and weight, we do partner with third-party shippers for smaller goods. Shipping availability and estimated costs are listed in the description of each individual lot.

What is your return policy for auction items?

All items are sold 'As-Is, Where-Is' with no warranties or guarantees expressed or implied. We encourage all bidders to attend previews or contact us for detailed condition reports prior to bidding, as all sales are final.
